Preface

I was surfing through a youtube and found a documentary on 3D TV's. I was fascinated by how 3D TV's work. I have watched movies that holds 3D aspects. My key question is basically how the 3D TV's work and also what changes it will bring to the media. It would be easier to understand with some information and knowledge on 2D TV in general and how this brought changes in 1900s. Some of the changes were transportation of information in more realistic way and also a huge role in advertising for a product. Through three genre, you will learn how 3D TV's will work and persuaded to buy 3D TV's

Genre 1 Introduction:

My genre #1 is a research paper, where I will be answering my key question. Though this research paper, I was able to explain how 3D TV works and how it will bring change to the media, just like how moving pictures and telephones brought a huge impact into the media during early 1900s. My first genre hold.....
-A formal and professional voice.
-Possible benefits and costs of 3D TV's.
-How 3D TV's will work and still improving.

How does 3D television work?

Everyday, millions of movie tickets are sold around the world. 3-dimensional televisions in the future will surely wipe the movie theater industries. TV is no more in 2D’s but in 3D’s People would be wanting to watch movies through 3D televisions. TV’s in the future will allow people to watch in 3D contents. Not only TV’s, but all other visual technology will evolve from flat 2-d screens to 3-d screens. Can you imagine playing games in 3-d contents, where a character would be coming out of the screen? People have no need to buy baseball or Super ball tickets, when they can enjoy the first row of the stadium through 3D televisions. Something that seemed impossible in the past in only becoming possible in next few years.

In movie theaters, people would have red and blue lens that would transfer 2 dimensional display to 3 dimensional display. Nowadays people with luxurious lives are able to buy somewhat developing 3D TV. Technology has advanced beyond this two lenses. A "TV would send signals to a pair of glasses and create 3D displays"(Woods). People would still have to wear glasses until a new technology would be exposed. Some of the benefits are : "It would minimize the eye strains" (Woods). The 3D display would also make a better display. People who uses plasma screens has harder time watching the screen from different angles. They would see the plasma screen getting darker as one sees the from a higher position. With 3D displays one can see from any angles and still be able to watch TV.

However, making 2D display screen into 3D display is not an easy job. People with unlimited amount of luxuries will be able to see a baseball game in the first row through TV. Because 3D displays require more energy and technology more equipments are needed. "The 3D requires not only the TV itself, but a computer, a special graph card, and a content weather it is a PC game or a movie" (Woods). Not only will people be watching movies, they will be playing games. One might be able to play Warcraft or Star-craft in 3D’s.

3D display is further improving. This model of watching 3D’s through glasses are only keep on improving. According to Nanjaro, an expert on 3D displays imagine that in the future there will be an engine where it will send the rays that are already split into half. These two separated rays would go in two the two lenses of the glasses and produce 3D image. If Ninjaro’s imagination is correct, in a few decades, people will not be needing anymore glasses.

In few years, people will be able to see something that seemed impossible become possible.
Other than 3D TV’s, flying cars, subways under seas will be invented. However, as people favor technology more than the meeting with other people, they should try to favor more of social meetings.

Genre 2 Introduction

Unlike my first genre, where the research paper is done in a formal way, this genre will somehow be informal. I will be advertising for the benefits of 3D TV's through a brochure. Though it will hold some of the negative aspects, this genre will persuade you to buy a 3D TV. My second genre will have following characteristics:
-A persuasive, advertising voice
-Encourage readers to buy 3D TV's
-Show benefits of 3D TV's

(Need change, I saw the Mac person and he says I need to re-download Page because exporting pages into pdf file or into document file does not work. I will have this done by lunch post it before or right after school)

Genre 3 Introduction

I have made a little poster that also advertised the use of 3D TV's. This propaganda shows the images popping out of the TV screen. The phrase on the Propaganda is meant to bring people buy 3D TV's

(Take a Picture at home)

Epilogue

Working through these three genre, I learned many things about the media and how it affects the society as a whole. Since 3D TV is still working its way towards more efficient process and usages, I had to learn about how first TV worked. Nowadays, we see TV commercials on top of a building or see commercials in the subway. People are consistently exposed to TV's. However, what will happen when 3D TV's come out in large releases. Will it be a chaos or a more realistic view? I had to critically think what will happen to the media. Additionally in the second and third genre, I advertised to make people buy the product. In this project I learned to advertise a product and show benefits and costs of a product.
